Tyler Gregory -
Street Singer and Songwriter
With his six-inch beard and lanky stature, Tyler Gregory has the appearance of a bohemian hobo who’s learned life’s lessons the hard way. He definitely didn’t take the easy route when he decided to focus on playing music and traveling, but the 21-year-old’s experiences have been more rewarding than harrowing.
Now based in Lawrence and playing regularly at local venues, Gregory can regularly be found busking on Mass. St. with his deep voice and steam-powered melodies bouncing off the street-side architecture. His sturdy songcraft takes cues from WWII-era blues bellowers like Leadbelly and Son House as well as modern folk artists like William Elliott Whitmore and the Avett Brothers.
